Richard Hope, MD, FAAD

Richard Hope, MD, FAAD is a native of West Texas, having been raised in Brownfield, Texas. College was completed in San Angelo, Texas and four years of medical school in San Antonio, Texas. After that, he completed a year internship in internal medicine and a three-year dermatology residency in Little Rock, Arkansas. He has been in practice in Lubbock, Texas since 1995. He continues to be involved in academic medicine by interacting with the dermatology residents at Texas Tech.

Dr. Hope is board certified in Dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. He has extensive experience in Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancer, as well as cosmetic laser treatment, Botox®/Dysport® and Restylane®/Juvederm® injections of wrinkles.

Dr. Hope has been a clinical instructor in the Department of Dermatology at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock since 1995.

Justin W. Clark, MD, FAAD

Justin W. Clark, MD, FAAD was raised in the West Texas town of Happy. College was completed in San Angelo, Texas and four years of medical school as well as a pediatric internship year in Galveston, Texas. After that, he completed a three-year dermatology residency at Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas. He then joined Lubbock Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center in 2000. He continues to be involved in academic medicine by interacting with the dermatology residents at Texas Tech.

Dr. Clark is board certified in Dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. He has extensive experience in Mohs micrographic surgery for skin cancer, as well as cosmetic laser treatment, Botox®/Dysport® and Restylane®/Juvederm® injections of wrinkles.

Dr. Clark has been a clinical instructor in the Department of Dermatology at the Texas Health Sciences Center in Lubbock since 2000.

William David Boothe, MD, JR

Dr. William “David” Boothe, Jr., a native of West Texas from Lubbock, values friends, family, and faith. He met his wife, Kandis, in medical school; they are now married and have returned to Lubbock to practice and enjoy life there. He earned a Civil Engineering degree from Texas A&M University before shifting to medicine, inspired by work on a medical center project. He received his MD from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2017, followed by an Internal Medicine internship in Billings, Montana (2018).

His passion for dermatology sparked at Lubbock’s Impact Clinic during medical school, deepened by research at Dell Seton/UT Austin. He completed his Dermatology residency at Texas Tech in Lubbock (2022). He then joined his wife in Tucson, Arizona, practicing at Associated Dermatology for three years before returning to Lubbock.

Dr. Boothe is board-certified in dermatology and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, and Lubbock Medical Society. He volunteers at Lubbock’s Impact Clinic for the uninsured. His specialties include skin cancer treatment with Mohs surgery and reconstruction, plus general dermatology conditions like acne, psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo, autoimmune skin disorders, and infections. He is grateful to serve the Lubbock community again.

Chelsea Acuna, FNP-C

Chelsea Frei Acuna was raised in Brownfield, and graduated high school from Wellman-Union ISD. She is married to Ricardo Acuna, a registered Respiratory Therapist in Lubbock. Chelsea and Ricardo have two handsome boys, Zander and Zane.

Chelsea graduated from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2011 with a bachelors in Nursing Science. She worked at Covenant Medical Center's Adult Emergency Department for 7 years. Chelsea went back to Texas Tech in 2015 for graduate studies. Chelsea graduated Summa Cum Laude with her MSN degree and post-masters certification in Family Practice. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Chelsea enjoys movies, reading, being a 'boy mom', and spending time with friends and family. Wreck Em' Tech.

Kristen Farquhar, PA-C

Kristen Farquhar, PA-C is a certified Physician Assistant. She joined Lubbock Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center in October 2018 after receiving her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. Kristen grew up in Shallowater, Texas, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science with a minor in Chemistry from Texas Tech University in 2015.

Jennifer Gamez, FNP-C

Jennifer Gamez, FNP-C is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner that has been with our office since 2023. Jennifer grew up in Brownfield, Texas. Jennifer obtained her Master’s degree at University of Texas-Arlington. She originally worked as a nurse for our office for seven years before receiving her Nurse Practitioner Degree.

Chasidy Ann Marquis, FNP-C

Chasidy Ann Marquis, FNP-C is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner that has been with our office since 2017. Her medical career started as a Paramedic shortly after graduating high school. She obtained her Master's degree at West Texas A&M in Canyon after working as a nurse in several fields. She originally worked as a nurse for Dr. Hope several years ago. She then proceeded to get her Nurse Practitioner Degree. She gained valuable experience working in Internal medicine for a few years but then returned to our practice as a nurse practitioner.
